Proviron is an oral DHT derivative. A 1-methylated dihydrotestosterone derivative that is not 17-alpha-alkylated, and therefore not associated with the hepatic profile of the alkylated orals. Binds sex hormone binding globulin with high affinity, which is the basis of its use as an ancillary rather than a mass-building compound.

Where it sits

Oral compounds are tablets, and the structural feature that makes a compound orally active is usually 17-alpha-alkylation, which resists first-pass hepatic metabolism. That same feature is why oral compounds are discussed differently from injectables.
